Maple Leafs analyst urges Craig Berube to make a drastic decision involving William Nylander

Toronto Maple Leafs forward William Nylander is having a difficult season right now, and it is becoming clear that Craig Berube needs to make a decision.
William Nylander had a fantastic start to the NHL season, with 32 points in 21 games. However, he now has 36 points in 30 games, which is a terrible fall-off.
Over the course of the last few games, Nylander has been playing some of the worst hockey of his career, and he looks like he just doesn't care.
Last night was another great example of this, as the Maple Leafs lost to the Nashville Predators, without Nylander registering a single point.
Leafs fans and analysts are starting to get fed up with the forward, and now, some of the team's biggest critics are demanding that Craig Berube take a stand.
Steve Dangle wants William Nylander out of the lineup
On the latest episode of 'The Steve Dangle Podcast,' Steve Dangle made the argument that if Berube truly wants to send a message, he should sit Nylander for a game.
This would be a very drastic decision, and one that would anger the team's core. That said, Berube is in the business of winning hockey games, not making friends.
The Maple Leafs are officially in last place in the Atlantic Division, and are one point out of last place in the entire Conference.
This should be a huge wake-up call for the team, which should be in a playoff position when you consider all of the talent on the roster.
It's been one of those seasons to forget, and you cannot help but wonder if a coaching change is going to happen if the Leafs lose to the Dallas Stars tonight.
We highly doubt Berube will sit Nylander anytime soon, but it's something he should at least consider if things keep going down this road.
