After a win against the Winnipeg Jets on Thursday, the Toronto Maple Leafs' social media team is taking some massive swings at the Jets franchise.

Last night was huge for the Toronto Maple Leafs, as they defeated the Winnipeg Jets by a score of 6-5, despite being down in the game by a score of 4-1.
Auston Matthews scored a hat trick, and it was one of those wins that you cherish, as they don't happen all the time within a season.
Having said that, this win was particularly refreshing for the Maple Leafs because it was a bit of revenge for something that was said four years ago.

Maple Leafs get revenge four years later

Back in December of 2021, the Winnipeg Jets defeated the Toronto Maple Leafs by a score of 6-3, and immediately took to Twitter with a clip from the locker room.
In this clip, the Jets could be heard asking if there is anything better than beating a team like the Maple Leafs.
Well, the Maple Leafs gave it right back to the Jets on Thursday night by posting a picture of John Tavares, Auston Matthews, Max Domi, and Scott Laughton with the post-game belt.
It was here that the social media admin for the team delivered the caption "Is there anything better than?"
Clearly, the admin had done their homework and was acutely aware of the fact that the Jets had slighted them just over four years ago.
Quite frankly, it is a little bit sad that it took so long for the Maple Leafs to finally get their revenge on the Jets, especially now that Winnipeg is on a losing streak.
Ultimately, the Maple Leafs need to win more games, and perhaps this latest win will inspire them to keep the momentum going.
