Maple Leafs provide disappointing update on Chris Tanev

Toronto Maple Leafs defenseman Chris Tanev has been dealing with a concussion for two weeks, and the team could really use his services right about now.
Chris Tanev has been one of the best defensemen on the Toronto Maple Leafs since he signed with the team last year.
Unfortunately, Tanev has missed the last two weeks with a concussion. He got hit in the head by Matvei Michkov of the Philadelphia Flyers, and has been out ever since.
During these past two weeks, the Maple Leafs have had a ton of problems. They have lost four games in a row, and going into this weekend, they desperately need a win.
If they can't get a win, then the panic button might get pressed. There are even rumblings that Craig Berube's job is in jeopardy.
Is Chris Tanev returning to the Toronto Maple Leafs soon?
Having said that, the Maple Leafs are playing the Chicago Blackhawks tonight, and some have been wondering if Chris Tanev might get to play.
According to Berube, Tanev still needs some time before he can come back. Unfortunately, Leafs fans will not get to see him in action tonight.
Trending in the right direction, but it's going to be a bit. I don't know how long yet for him
It was a bit ambitious to think that Tanev would be in the lineup tonight, especially after suffering two concussions in a row.
Overall, the Maple Leafs will just have to figure things out and put their best foot forward. They have no choice. A five-game losing streak is not an option.
Only time will tell whether or not the Toronto Maple Leafs can turn the tide, and get themselves back on track for a playoff push.
