Former Toronto Maple Leafs superstar Mitch Marner is already making an impact with the Las Vegas Golden Knights, much to the chagrin of Leafs fans everywhere.

When Mitch Marner left the Toronto Maple Leafs in the summer, there were lots of fans out there who felt betrayed by the superstar.
However, everyone could see the writing on the wall. Marner didn't look happy anymore, and the Golden Knights give him an opportunity to win a Stanley Cup.
We are approaching the halfway point of the NHL season, and Marner is proving to be a catch for the Golden Knights, who are Pacific Division contenders.
In fact, the forward just made history with the Golden Knights, and we're sure there are some Leafs fans who are about to be jealous.

Mitch Marner continues to shine in Las Vegas

According to the Golden Knights on social media, Marner is the fastest player in franchise history to get to a total of 30 assists.
He accomplished this in just 36 games, which is very impressive. It just goes to show that Marner has adapted to his new surroundings.
If you are a Toronto Maple Leafs fan, it probably hurts to see this right now, especially when you consider how Marner had 102 points with the Leafs last season.

Is Mitch Marner going to win a Stanley Cup?

Marner is currently in the first year of his eight-year, $96 million deal. Simply put, it is way too early to tell whether or not he is going to win a Cup in Vegas.
However, the team has made it clear that they want to win and are committed to doing so. Players want to go to Vegas, and that helps Marner's case.
Having said that, if he wants to win big, he is going to have to start performing when it counts in the playoffs. Marner has been a playoff no-show for years, and the Golden Knights can't afford that all over again.
