Toronto Maple Leafs defenseman Troy Stecher has been making a huge impression with the franchise, and now, he has a message for Scotiabank Arena.

Troy Stecher has been the best pickup for the Toronto Maple Leafs this season, as he has proven to be a phenomenal defenseman.
Overall, he is the type of player that you want on your team. His level of compete is off the charts, and he loves to bring energy to the ice.
We saw this against the Ottawa Senators a few nights ago as Stecher fired up the Scotiabank Arena crowd at the end of the game, following a scrum in front of Joseph Woll.
Unfortunately, Scotiabank Arena has been quiet over the past couple of years. With soaring ticket prices, the crowd has become more corporate, and by extension, a lot more reserved.

Troy Stecher gets real about Maple Leafs fans

While speaking to the media on Wednesday, Stecher spoke about the Scotiabank Arena crowd and how he prefers it when everyone is loud.
His comments were interesting, as they show that the players are acutely aware of the abundance or lack of noise at all times.
People don't realize how much that plays a factor for our team. The louder they are, the better. This is my 10th year in the NHL and I always loved coming here and Montreal to play, the two centres of the hockey world.
The only way this is ever going to change is if the Toronto Maple Leafs organization decides to change the prices of tickets.
If games were more affordable, the crowd would be a lot more eager to yell and scream. It's a shame that things have strayed so far from where they were 20 years ago.
At this point, the reality of the situation is unlikely to change. It's sad, but true. Hopefully, management has a change of heart at some point.
