Former Toronto Maple Leafs forward Mitch Marner is set to play in his first game as a member of the Las Vegas Golden Knights, and fans are being forced to wait longer.
Mitch Marner is now a member of the Las Vegas Golden Knights, and for Toronto Maple Leafs fans, this is all very sad.
Marner could have been a legend had he retired with the team. Even more so if he had helped the team win a Stanley Cup. Instead, he will be hated by those who rooted for him the hardest.
Having said all that, we have yet to see the forward suit up for the Golden Knights. Fans in Vegas are anxious about the forward's debut, while Leafs supporters are ready to hate-watch.

Unfortunately, Marner missed his first opportunity to suit up with his new team. Last night was the Golden Knights' preseason debut against the Los Angeles Kings.
Below, you can see that the Golden Knights opted not to play Marner. They also decided not to play his future linemate, Jack Eichel.

However, reporters in Vegas are claiming that it is likely we will see Marner on the ice on Thursday for the team's second preseason tilt.
This likely means the VGK preseason premier of Mitch Marner on Thursday.
Only time will tell whether or not Marner is able to prove himself as the right man for the job in Las Vegas.
The expectations will be high, and if he doesn't deliver, there will be consequences.
