Toronto Maple Leafs forward Scott Laughton was the victim of a hard hit from Eetu Luostarinen, and there is no denying that the center is upset with the circumstances.

Scott Laughton was the victim of a hit from behind by Florida Panthers player Eetu Luostarinen on Tuesday night, and it led to a very bloody nose.
Overall, the play should have been a penalty. However, nothing was called, despite the referee looking directly at the play. It was the kind of thing you've come to expect if you are a Leafs fan.
With that being said, the Maple Leafs still won the game by a score of 4-1, and it was easily one of the best games of the season from this team.
After the match, Laughton was given an opportunity to speak to the media, and it was here that he revealed his true feelings about the situation.

Scott Laughton is not a happy guy right now

Laughton was extremely intentional with his words, noting that the referees should have done something about it as it was a clear hit from behind.
In fact, one could argue that this was also a subliminal message to NHL Player Safety, an entity that has oftentimes given the Leafs the short end of the stick.
It was a clear hit from behind, not sure what they sawI gotta watch the replay. I haven't seen it yet. I was too fired up to watch it
For now, it seems very unlikely that NHL Player Safety is going to do anything about the Luostarinen hit, as nothing has been announced at this time.
The Leafs are used to this kind of stuff by now. Besides, Laughton appears to be okay, and the team needs to focus on its game against the Philadelphia Flyers on Thursday.
Whether or not the Maple Leafs are able to keep their winning ways alive, is going to be interesting to watch, especially as the playoff race gets closer.
