Toronto Maple Leafs goaltender Joseph Woll has been keeping his team in games, although it is clear that the sheer amount of losses has taken a toll.

On Friday night, Joseph Woll turned aside 30 out of 33 shots against the Washington Capitals, but it wasn't enough to make up for the bad team in front of him.
The Maple Leafs have not been good this season, and while Woll is doing his best to hold it together, it's clear that the guys in front of him have no interest in scoring goals.
Now, the Leafs have to make tough decisions. They are not a playoff team, and with the trade deadline coming up in a few months, the team will likely have to pose as sellers.
With two starting goalies on the payroll, the Leafs could very well choose to move one of their netminders. Woll is showing he is valuable, and Stanley Cup contenders like the Edmonton Oilers would see him as a huge upgrade.

Joseph Woll to the Edmonton Oilers?

In fact, Money Puck on X is acknowledging that if there was any goaltender that the Oilers would go after, it would be Woll due to his $3.67 million AAV.
He has two years left on his deal after this season, and would be immensely valuable to that team, especially during a playoff run.
Of course, the Oilers would have to pay up. Whether or not Leafs general manager Brad Treliving would ever do this deal remains to be seen.
The Leafs would have to charge a hefty price to get rid of Woll. He is not the kind of goaltender that you just up and let leave. If Treliving wants to keep his job, he would have to bleed the Oilers dry.

Joseph Woll's stats show a goalie keeping his team together

Despite the lackluster 2-3-1 record, Joseph Woll has maintained a goals-against average of 2.80 and a save percentage of .919.
At the end of the day, these losses are not Woll. 30 saves on 33 shots should be enough to win games, especially on a team with Auston Matthews and William Nylander.
The Maple Leafs are simply not playing well enough right now, and if they cannot get it together, then Woll could very well be a casualty of a team that needs to sell.
