Mitch Marner sends a message to Maple Leafs fans after being booed on home ice

Toronto Maple Leafs fans were not kind to Mitch Marner on Thursday night, and the Las Vegas Golden Knights star was quick to give a response.
Thursday was an interesting night for the Toronto Maple Leafs as they took on Mitch Marner and the Las Vegas Golden Knights for the first time since the trade.
In the end, the Golden Knights came back from a deficit in the third period. They won by a score of 6-5, and Marner had two assists during the game.
Despite playing in Vegas, Marner got booed every single time he touched the puck, and it was quite audible. Clearly, Leafs fans were eager to make the trip.
Next Friday, Mitch Marner will be back in Toronto, and there is no doubt that things will be that much worse for him.

After Thursday night's game, Marner answered questions pertaining to the Leafs fanbase, and he was extremely honest about what went down.
For the most part, it would appear as though the forward is completely unfazed, noting that he understands how passionate the fans can be.
They have a passionate fan base and they always travel well. They have a lot of love for their team.
It will be interesting to see how Marner responds next Friday. After all, the fans have not forgotten his betrayal with the Golden Knights.
There will probably be some sort of video tribute, and we wonder how the fans are going to react. Will they cheer, or are they going to boo?
Leafs fans are known for being a difficult bunch, and this might just be the moment where Marner realizes he made the right call.
