Toronto Maple Leafs forwards William Nylander and Dakota Joshua have been out of the lineup for some time, and it appears as though good news is finally upon us.
William Nylander has had a difficult time staying healthy this season, and there is no doubt that it has left the Toronto Maple Leafs in a bad spot.
Meanwhile, Dakota Joshua suffered a lacerated kidney back in December following a game against the Detroit Red Wings.
Overall, these injuries have put the Maple Leafs at a real disadvantage, and with the playoff race winding down fast, there has been some optimism that these guys could come back.
Today, the Leafs were on the ice for practice ahead of their Sunday game against the Colorado Avalanche, and some updates were made available.

According to David Alter, both Nylander and Joshua were on the ice for the first time since their respective injuries.
While there is no exact timeline for their return right now, there is no denying that both of these players are getting closer to a comeback.
This is obviously fantastic news for the Maple Leafs, who could use any bit of good news right about now, regardless of how big or small.
The Leafs are a team that is looking to make the postseason, and this recent string of losses is making it very difficult for them.
Getting some of their best players back will give them a nice little boost. Whether or not that boost is too little and too late remains to be seen.
For now, the team will just have to exert some patience, all while playing with a bit more urgency.
