Auston Matthews and Scott Laughton are out of the Toronto Maple Leafs lineup with injuries, and now, there is yet another forward dealing with the injury bug.
The Toronto Maple Leafs are in the midst of a five-game losing streak, and to make matters worse, they have a plethora of injuries up and down the lineup.
Auston Matthews, Brandon Carlo, and Scott Laughton are just some of the names that have had to miss time due to a variety of issues.
Then you add Chris Tanev into the mix, and you realize just how difficult things have been for this team to start the season. In the eyes of some, it's been absolutely debilitating.
Well, at practice today, we learned that yet another Maple Leafs star is injured, and yet again, it is a player who mainly goes down the middle.
Jacob Quillan to replace Nicolas Roy
The player in question is Nicolas Roy. In 19 games, Roy has only four points, and for the most part, he has been invisible out there.
Meanwhile, he has an upper-body injury and will not be able to play against the St. Louis Blues on Tuesday night, which is going to hurt the lineup.
His replacement is going to be Jacob Quillan, who is playing in just his second career game for the Toronto Maple Leafs.
Tuesday's game will be fascinating to watch, although if one thing is for certain right now, it is that the Leafs are not in a great spot, and with five losses in a row, they desperately need a win.
Below, you can find the tentative lineup for tomorrow night:
Robertson - Tavares - Nylander
Knies - Domi - Cowan
Maccelli - Quillan - McMann
Joshua - Lorentz - Järnkrok
Rielly - Ekman-Larsson
Benoit - McCabe
Mermis - Stecher
