Toronto Maple Leafs make it official for Jacob Quillan

Toronto Maple Leafs prospect Jacob Quillan has been itching to get into a game, and with William Nylander injured, his chances have certainly skyrocketed.
William Nylander got injured against the Las Vegas Golden Knights on Thursday, and it has left the Toronto Maple Leafs with a hole in their lineup.
There have been all sorts of rumors about what the Leafs are planning to do next. In fact, it was stated this weekend that Jacob Quillan of the Toronto Marlies would get the call.
Just moments ago, that report became a reality as it was revealed that Quillan would be joining the Maple Leafs roster against the Minnesota Wild tonight.
For Quillan, this is not a guarantee that he is going to end up playing. After all, there are other players above him on the depth chart right now.
It is expected that Calle Jarnkrok would be drawing into the lineup instead. However, Craig Berube could decide upon a different strategy.
If there are any more injuries to the forward core, then it is easy to see how Quillan might end up in the lineup, whether that be at center or on the wing.
Maple Leafs vs. Wild
Tonight's game between the Toronto Maple Leafs and the Minnesota Wild is going to be a lot of fun, especially as the Leafs look to make the playoffs here.
The Wild are not going to be pushovers, and this is going to be a test to see whether or not the Leafs are a capable franchise right about now.
The trade deadline is coming up, and general manager Brad Treliving needs to know whether or not this team is actually worth adding to.
It is going to be a fun game, and we are eager to see how the Leafs can respond to some of the pressure.
