The Toronto Maple Leafs recently called up a promising prospect, although they just got the short end of the stick with the team's lineup against the Winnipeg Jets.

Tonight's game against the Winnipeg Jets is incredibly important for the Toronto Maple Leafs, who have struggled this season.
They are outside of a playoff spot, and they need as many wins as possible in order to get themselves into the top three in the Atlantic Division.
It is not going to be easy, and the Jets are certainly going to be an obstacle for the Leafs. Earlier today, we reported that Auston Matthews will be making his return.
Unfortunately, this comes at a cost to prospect Jacob Quillan, who was recently called up amid injuries to Dakota Joshua and William Nylander.

Jacob Quillan is a healthy scratch against the Winnipeg Jets

As per head coach Craig Berube, Quillan is going to be the lone healthy scratch on offense tonight. Meanwhile, Matthews takes his spot as the first-line center.
The second line will have John Tavares, Bobby McMann, and Matias Maccelli, while the third line will be Easton Cowan, Nicolas Roy, and Nick Robertson.
Lastly, the fourth line has Steven Lorentz, Scott Laughton, and Calle Jarnkrok.

Quillan has played four games with the Maple Leafs, three of which have come this season, and he has yet to register a single point.
He still has a ton of potential, and if he can continue to impress Craig Berube, then perhaps he has a chance to get more chances in the lineup.
