Tonight, the Toronto Maple Leafs take on the Detroit Red Wings in their final preseason game, and tonight's lineup features players looking for a spot on the team.
With the NHL preseason coming to a close, the Toronto Maple Leafs still haven't finalized their roster. Of course, rookies like Easton Cowan are showing tremendous promise.
Meanwhile, guys like Nick Robertson and Calle Jarnkrok are desperate to show that they do belong on the team, despite everything that has happened.
An injury to Scott Laughton has created an opportunity for some of these players, and the Maple Leafs will have to make a decision.

With that in mind, it should come as no surprise that Cown, Jarnkrok, and Robertson are all slated to be in tonight's lineup.
From there, Jacob Quillan is going to play, as is Luke Haymes. Dennis Hildeby is going to be in the net, with James Reimer backing him up.
It is a solid lineup, and one that fans will be eager to watch as of tonight.

Overall, Robertson is coming into the game with the most pressure. Jarnkrok is also in that boat. For Cowan, just being considered is enough at this stage.
There are many storylines going into tonight, and that is exactly why Maple Leafs fans should consider giving this game their attention.
By Wednesday, we will know the opening night roster, as the Maple Leafs take on the Montreal Canadiens.
