Toronto Maple Leafs defenseman Troy Stecher and forward Scott Laughton have become quite friendly as of late, but it wasn't always jolly between the two.

Last season, the Toronto Maple Leafs brought in Scott Laughton, a gritty center who is known for having some edge in his game.
This season, the Leafs brought in Troy Stecher, a defenseman who was not being given the fairest of shakes with the Edmonton Oilers.
So far, fans have enjoyed the play of both of these players, and it is hard to imagine this team without their contributions.
Having said that, prior to their friendship on the Leafs, it would appear as though Stecher had some very negative thoughts about Laughton.

Troy Stecher and Scott Laughton are good buddies

In a recent video published by the Leafs, Stecher admitted that he used to hate Laughton and saw him as the pest to end all pests.
The hockey world is so small. If you don’t know somebody, the odds are you have a buddy who’s friends with them, and the next thing you know, you’re bonded over that relationship…

I actually hated playing against Scott Laughton; I thought he was a pest. I always hated playing Philly when he was there. Funny enough, he’s one of my closest friends here in Toronto now
This is pretty fun to see, but it is totally understandable. We can just imagine how much players on the Florida Panthers hated Brad Marchand before he joined the franchise.
At the end of the day, the Toronto Maple Leafs are a good team right now, and with a three-game winning streak, they are on the up and up.
Having said that, they need to keep the organizational chemistry going; otherwise, they won't have a shot to go deeper.
It is going to be a lot of fun, and we are very eager to see what the Leafs can do as they look to close out the season.
