Tempers flare early during Ranger & Panthers game 4
New York Rangers Jacob Trouba's elbow on Florida Panthers Evan Rodrigues may still be on the minds of everyone early on in game four of the Eastern Conference final between the Panthers and Rangers as tensions seemed high very early on in the first period from Sunrise Tuesday night.
Although it's true that Rodrigues could have likely avoided being hit as hard as he was if his head hadn't been down, the play by Trouba was reckless. But it was good to see that Rodrigues was suffering no ill effects and in fact appeared to be smiling at Trouba during a short, small scrum early in the period on Tuesday evening.
Appreciating and understanding that it's likely that both teams will have to tow the line a little in order to get the edge to win the series, the energy has been high, and that is likely a key to what it will take to win the series.
It will be interesting to see how each team wears down the other, moving forward into the latter part of Game 4 and moving forward. As is typical, the one who stays the healthiest and lasts the longest ultimately may end up winning this series.
