Brad Marchand suffers an injury and will not return
A day that started with such happiness for Boston Bruins fan has quickly turned sour. After trading for Tyler Bertuzzi and signing David Pastrnak to an 8-year extension Bruins fans were elated. That happiness has turned to concern less than 12 hours later.
During the second period of tonight's game against the Buffalo Sabres, Marchand was on the receiving end of a hit from Ilya Lyubushkin. The hit sent Marchand awkwardly into the boards and be was in clear discomfort.
Marchand left the game and the Bruins announced that he will not return. With the team already down Nick Foligno and Taylor Hall, losing another left winter is a serious blow.
