Edmonton Oilers announce how much time Connor McDavid will miss
Last night Edmonton Oilers fans saw their season flash before their eyes. With the team looking to find a victory late in the 3rd period and overtime, Connor McDavid simply sat on the bench. A sight Oilers fans have never seen before.
After the game Head Coach Jay Woodcroft admitted that McDavid was dealing with a muscle issue. A clip surfaced showing McDavid mouthing something to a trainer which sent Oilers fans into a frenzy, after it appeared McDavid mouthed he'd 'torn' something.
Luckily for Oilers fans it appears the team has managed to avoid the worst case scenario. Today the team announced the following:
#Oilers say Connor McDavid expected to miss 1-2 weeks with an upper-body injury.
The Heritage Classic is on Sunday vs. #Flames .
This is a tough blow for the Oilers, but it's much better than some expected.
