Residents in Alberta got a little bit more than they expected today as cities across the province felt the shaking of multiple earthquakes. According to the United States Geological Survey the first earthquake struck around 4:51 local time and registered as a 4.6 on the Richter scale.

But for residents that wasn't the only earthquake a larger 5.3 earthquake followed at 5:55 local time. This has been followed by at least 3 after shocks measuring over 4.0 on the scales as well.
