Arber Xhekaj is a rookie defender playing for the Montreal Canadians, making a name for himself in the NHL, never backing down from physical play or a fight should one be thrown his way, but it seems his younger brother has taken over as the sheriff of the Hamilton Bulldogs, the same junior team the elder Xhekaj played part of his junior career with.
In a video taken by fans, Florian can bee seen handling himself fairly well in a game against the Oshawa Generals.
The younger Xhekaj is winger, but just like his brother has no problem taking on any and all comers. Even against a bigger opponent in Oshawa's Rodwin Dionicio, he doesn't get outmatched.
Standing at 6'2» and 185 pounds, the 18 year old winger shows toughness, grit and tenacity, something that is lacking in todays game.
Will be author a story like his brother? Time will tell. He's certainly taking a path that would make his brother proud though.
