Arizona Coyotes open their new arena and they STILL couldn't sell out (Video)
The Arizona Coyotes are usually the butt of almost every joke, but those jokes may have been premature. While the seating capacity of their current arena still doesn't meet NHL standards, the arena is still beautifully constructed.
Tonight the Winnipeg Jets had the opportunity to be the first guest of Mullet Arena. While the arena only seats approximately 5,000 fans, the arena is rumoured to sound much louder. The Coyotes have worked with Arizona State University to help ensure the student body is represented at games in hopes of creating a great fan experience.
We now have our first look at that crowd in Mullet Arena and unsurprisingly it's almost as empty as most Coyotes games.
As of 3 hours ago the game was still not sold out.
As of right now there are still hundreds of tickets remaining. This just shows the NHL should be embarrassed by this decision.
