Brad Marchand takes a shot at the NBA and player management
Brad Marchand is known as one of the NHL's biggest shit disturbers on the ice and it looks like he's decided to take his talents off of it as well. When Marchand received a question about NHL players receiving load management, he gave a very typical Brad Marchand answer.
Load management in the NBA has become common place for many teams to rest their best players, more often than not against low level competition. The idea is to keep players rested and help them maintain overall health by not being overplayed. Most notably the Toronto Raptors, "load managed" Kawhi Leonard on route to an NBA Champions.
This ain't basketball, take that soft shit elsewhere.
Marchand ended up having off season surgery after opting to play through multiple significant injuries. It's pretty clear by his comment he isn't feeling like he needs the additional rest to stay healthy.
