Evgeni Malkin tries to toss his stick into the crowd, but fails miserably
Last night Evgeni Malkin played in his 1001 career game for the Pittsburgh Penguins against the Calgary Flames. The two teams played a very low scoring game, which was highlighted by exceptional play from both Dan Vladar and Tristan Jarry.
After 65 minutes of even play the game went to a shootout. After both goalies gave up 2 goals a piece, it came down to Dan Vladar versus Evgeni Malkin. Malkin came in made a great move and buried a back hand to give his team the 2-1 victory.
After the goal though Malkin attempted to pull off the Jack Hughes stick toss celly. Unfortunately for Malkin the celebration didn't go as planned and his stick didn't quite make it over the glass and ended up falling back down onto the ice.
