During the final minutes of last night's game between the Philadelphia Flyers and Toronto Maple Leafs, things between the teams got heated. As Auston Matthews made an unnecessary move to try and score a highlight reel goal, he was confronted by Travis Konecny. The two players exchanged cross checks and slashes.

As Konecny and Matthews come face to face, Mark Giordano comes flying in to tackle Konecny. He is quickly followed by Michael Bunting before everyone on the ice, but Matthews gets engaged.

Former NHLer Enforcer Mike Rupp takes some time to breakdown Matthews actions and what it says to his teammates.

This isn't the first time Matthews has acted in such a manor and likely not the last. It's tough to watch someone with Matthews size and strength refuse to take part in this sort of play after the whistles.

Do you agree with Rupp? Can the Leafs win without Matthews engaged physically?
