In recent years, the shine of the NHL's outdoor games has worn off. The outdoor games, now repeated year after year, can sometimes feel like a gimmick, but there's still times that remind us how great the spectacle of outdoor hockey is. Hurricanes fans have a reputation for being a little crazy, hence the name of Caniacs, and they lived up to the reputation in their first home outdoor game. The presentation was amazing, the game was fantastic, and the Caniacs were out in full force, even tailgating before the game in the parking lot.
