Ilya Mikheyev gets the massive overpayment he was looking for
Ilya Mikheyev has struggled with injury during his NHL career. After suffering a significant cut to his wrist two years ago, Mikheyev broke his thumb and was forced to have surgery last season. But upon his return he found some finish scoring 21 goals in 51 games.
Mikheyev had set out to receive a massive payday and that's exactly what it appears he's done.
Ilya Mikheyev agrees to 4 year $4.75 AAV contract with Vancouver Canucks. #WeAreGoldStar!
Mikheyev should immediately help the Canucks penalty kill, which struggled mightily during the early season last year.
