Junior hockey player behind the back for highlight reel goal
Junior hockey is always exciting. Whether it's because the emotions are higher in younger hockey players, the fact that they're fearless or their willingness to try things that most players can only pull off once in a blue moon, it's always an exciting brand of the game.
Last night in the Western Hockey when the Saskatoon Blades took on the Regina Pats, a Blades player when in on a breakaway and scored one of the best goals you'll see in junior hockey this season; take a look.
Absolute insanity from Egor Sidorov 🥵
Goes behind the back on the breakaway for the highlight reel goal!
Blades forward Yegor Sidorov goes in on a breakaway from just before centre ice and absolutely fools the Pats goaltender by going behind the back to bury an absurd goal to tie the game at 1 in the first period.
The 19-year-old winger was drafted in the 3rd round of the 2023 draft by the Anaheim Ducks but has not signed with the team.
If this goal is any indication, they might have a contract waiting for him before too long
