Sunday night's game against the Eastern conference leading Florida Panthers, Petr Mrazek had a stellar performance making 34 saves and leading the Toronto Maple Leafs to victory. Just as it looked like Mrazek was starting to get his groove back, he was forced to leave Tuesday's game against the Boston Bruins with an injury.
Halfway through the first period during a stoppage in play, Mrazek had to be helped off the ice. He looked to be in extreme discomfort with a lower-body injury.
It looks like a non-contact injury, which are never good. After the game coach Sheldon Keefe gave an update on Mrazek's status and it does not look good.
Looks like the Leafs will be leaning on Erik Kallgren for awhile, unless Jack Campbell can return from the rib injury that's sidelined him for approximately a month.
