Hockey is a sport full of agitators, some do it for a reaction picking their spots to annoy the other team, and some are just down right pests that take pleasure in stirring the pot.
Things escalated quickly when the Los Angeles Kings took on the Florida Panthers in LA last night when Panther's forward Matthew Tkachuk high-sticked King's goaltender Jonathan Quick.
Tkachuk intentionally put the blade of his stick through Quick's mask sparking a melee at the end of the game with just 0.8 seconds left on the clock in the third period.
Today the NHL Department of Player Safety announced that Tkachuk would have a hearing for this play.
Florida's Matthew Tkachuk will have a hearing today for High-sticking Los Angeles' Jonathan Quick.
This will likely be Tkachuk's first suspension as a member of the Panthers after being acquired this past summer from the Calgary Flames.
