NHL player agent rips an NHL coach publicly claiming he steals players 'joy'
Allan Walsh found himself thrust into the spotlight when he posted a picture of Marc-Andre Fleury being stabbed by a sword when he was a member of the Vegas Golden Knights. Walsh was unhappy that the Knights had prioritized the addition of Robin Lehner, pushing Fleury into the backup goalie spot.
This discourse would eventually lead to Fleury's trade to the Chicago Blackhawks. Now Walsh has apparently set his sights on another Head Coach, who in his mind isn't treating one of his clients right. This time Walsh has his sights set on Darryl Sutter.
Last night the Flames lost 5 to 2 against the Detroit Red Wings in what was a listless performance from the home team. These sort of performances have become common under Sutter recently and it appears it is finally boiling over.
The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again expecting a different result. Also, negativity sucks the joy right out of players. cc: @NHLFlames
It was rumored earlier this year that there was some discourse in the Flame's locker room after Sutter told reporters that Jonathan Huberdeau had left the team's bench to take a shit. At the time Huberdeau was reportedly nursing and injury that was being worked on at the time.
While the Flames currently hold the final wild card spot in the Western Conference they are struggling. Walsh calling out Sutter is just the latest moment in what appears to be a team mutiny against a coach who refuses to adapt to his new players.
