Nazem Kadri rumoured to be making a very surprising choice in free agency
With Johnny Gaudreau heading to Columbus on a 7-year deal, attention has turned to Nazem Kadri as the top available free agent target. For teams needing a center, Kadri immediately jumps to the top of their wish list. But it turns out that it may not be all about money to Kadri.
According to Adrian Dater of The Athletic there is a newfound belief that Kadri could be looking at circling back to the Avalanche as a real possibility.
I'm more optimistic Kadri comes back to #Avs now. Lots of moving parts though. But I like the odds better now. A couple of league sources are saying he wants to come back to #Avs now @ColHockeyNow
Kadri has openly expressed his love for him time in Colorado. Kadri previously took a hometown discount to remain with the Maple Leafs before he was traded by Kyle Dubas. It always appeared to be a long-shot for Kadri to return to Colorado but those odds appear to be improving by the hour.
