Player narrowly avoids serious injury after the perfect hip check
For anyone who loves physical hockey, the Saskatchewan Senior League is one of the best leagues in Canada. The play is always passionate and players aren't afraid to stand up for each other. A dying breed of hockey.
Over the weekend that physicality was on full display as a player attempted to deliver a hard check. Unfortunately the defender had other ideas, bending over and delivering the perfect hip check, which sent his opponent head over heels.
Despite the physical landing the player was okay. It appeared more than anything his pride was hurt as he jumps up and immediately drops the gloves with the player who delivered the hit. Just another example of the incredible physical play.
