An absolutely massive update in the death of Adam Johnson, the former NHLer who died on the ice near the end of October after having his neck cut by a skate. According to the BBC, an arrest has been made in the case.

Police had not yet said who was arrested, but it's hard to imagine it would be anyone other than Matt Petgrave, whose skate cut Johnson's neck. Manslaughter is a charge that implies there was no intent, but that law enforcement believe there was some kind of negligence involved.
Johnson had been playing for the Nottingham Panthers at the time of his death. He did play a handful of games for the NHL's Pittsburgh Penguins before heading to the U.K. to play.
