Russian players have real concerns about next season
With the current Russian Invasion of the Ukraine, the world has turned to sanctions to try and end the conflict. According to Elliotte Friedman those sanctions could be far reaching and they could even reach the NHL.
He thinks Russian players who need a visa next year are concerned about what the Canadian and U.S. governments are going to do about visas for Russians who need to come over.
Hopefully for the sake of all involved this situation gets rectified because there is no reason to punish these NHL players for what is currently occuring in the Ukraine.
