Sidney Crosby cheap shots Nic Dowd with a punch to the face
The Capitals and Penguins never play a boring game. It's always clear the two teams can't stand one and other. Today is definitely no different.
On a play in the first period a frustrated, Sidney Crosby turned towards Nic Dowd and with his glove on punched Dowd in the face.
There was no penalty call on the play and Dowd did not miss a shift. You do have to wonder if this punch were thrown in the other direction how stiff the punishment would be.
