Brian Burke has always been known for doing things his own way and it appears he hasn't learned anything along the way. At least not in regards to keeping his best players happy. The Penguins have reached a point of no return, in the past 4 seasons they've exited the playoffs in the 1st round.
This July Evgeni Malkin, Kris Letang and Brian Rust all before unrestricted free agents. The Penguins have expressed interest in keeping both Malkin and Letang. Both men have been pivotal parts of multiple Cup runs for the Penguins, but that doesn't matter to the new management group.
According to Rob Rossi the Penguins new management group has made offers to both Malkin and Letang, but those offers aren't exactly market value and not only has it not sat well with either player, but Sidney Crosby isn't pleased with it either.
Penguins insider @Real_RobRossi says on @937theFan that the Penguins offered Kris Letang and Evgeni Malkin 3 year deals worth $15 million. And that those lowball offers DID NOT sit well with Sidney Crosby.
