Tage Thompson drops Jalen Chatfield with a massive upper cut
Tage Thompson signed a 7-year deal paying him $50,000,000 this summer. But the money hasn't changed the way Thompson plays the game. During last night's preseason game, Thompson came to the defense of a teammate after a big hit.
As the puck moves up the ice Jalen Chatfield caught Vinnie Hinostroza with a big hit that sent him to the ice. Thompson didn't think twice about seeking out Chatfield and immediately dropping the gloves.
During the fight Thompson used his massive height advantage to keep Chatfield at bay before delivering a massive right hand uppercut that sent Chatfield to the ice.
On the play Thompson was given 2 minutes for slashing, 5 for fighting and a 10 minute misconduct. This fight actually sealed Thompson's Gordie Howe Hat trick. Not a bad first 16 minutes of the first period.
