Toronto Maple Leafs get major health update on Morgan Rielly's injured knee
The Toronto Maple Leafs continue to play well during the regular season and appear to be playoff bound again. Lately the Leafs have played well without their best defender Morgan Rielly. Rielly injured his knee in mid-November and has missed more than a month. Mark Giordano, Rasmus Sandin, and new addition Connor Timmins have all stepped up and played well in Reilly's absence.
Now Sheldon Keefe has announced Reilly is healthy and ready to return to the Leafs lineup. Look for Reilly to play in the Leafs next game against the Arizona Coyotes. This is great news for the Maple Leafs. For years Morgan Rielly has been a key cornerstone of the Leafs blueline. He plays in all situations, logs a lot of minutes, and contributes offensively.
Head coach Sheldon Keefe now has to decide who Reilly replaces in the Leafs lineup. In twenty games played this year, Morgan Reilly has sixteen assists.
