On Saturday Night's edition of 32 Thoughts on Hockey Night in Canada, Jeff Marek and Eliotte Friedman reported the Devils' interest in Vancouver forward Connor Garland, as well as the Canucks' interest in New Jersey forward Pavel Zacha.
Both teams are enduring disappointing seasons, and between the Canucks well documented early season troubles and the Devils' off-season acquisitions resulting in another year of mediocrity, both teams are looking to re-tool.
Garland, 25 years old, has 26 points through 44 games this season. Zacha, at the age of 24, has 22 points in 45 games. The players are certainly comparable, and one can wonder if a trade could happen involving both players.
