With 5:37 remaining in the third period, the Ducks were up 5-0, against the Arizona Coyotes. With the puck loose in the crease, Trevor Zegras poked away which led to Jay Beagle cross checking Zegras from behind.
That's when Troy Terry came to assist Trevor Zegras and Jay Beagle decided to start pounding on Terry. Beagel hit Terry a few times causing him to fall to the ice. Terry was bloodied and beaten by Beagle and was forced to leave the game.
Trevor Zegras shared his thoughts, and feelings with the media shortly after the game:
I think it's embarrassing, and it's a bad look for the league. For the player that did it, it's humiliating and I think he should be f***ing punished
Trevor Zegras, was clearly angry with Jay Beagle. You can only hope Troy Terry was not injured too badly.
Do you think there will be consequences from the DoPS? More to follow!
