The off-season is in full swing, and for the Vancouver Canucks, things are a little more complicated this year. After re-signing Brock Boeser to a new three-year deal it seems that one forward may be on his way out the door.
Now, there have been rumours swirling around JT Miller for sometime and coming off the best season of his career certainly adds to that. According to Thomas Drance, senior writer for The Athletic, the Canucks are listening to offers surrounding Miller intently and have received some pretty interesting offers for the forward. Vancouver has said they think his value has gone up since the deadline.
There's nothing wrong with the Canucks wanting to sell high, but I would be concerned that he wouldn't be able to replicate the kind of success he saw last season. If the Canucks were willing to retain 50% of Miller's salary they'd likely receive a haul similar to what Buffalo received in the Jack Eichel deal.
