Winnipeg Jets fan injured badly after fight with security goes wrong
After Blake Wheeler scored his 3rd goal of the game, members of the Canada Life Center security team attempted to remove two Colorado Avalanche fans. Early reports say the fans were intoxicated and causing issues with other fans. Unfortunately for security the fans refused to leave quietly and eventually engaged in a physical confrontation with fans.
As a female security staffer began to be overwhelmed a citizen stepped in to try and intervene. That is when the fan fell down the stairs and struck the back of his head on the dasher board. The fall caused him to be busted open, and according to those in attendance he was bleeding badly.
This new video provides a much closer video of everything that happened.
The original video can be found below as well.
The game was delayed while this matter was attended to and two arrests were made. Charges are expected to be laid in the coming days.
