Hockey is one of the most dangerous sports on the planet, vulcanized rubber, fast paced hits and accidents are just some of the ways you can get hurt when you're playing, sometimes though you see an injury so improbable it makes you question what's possible.
Recently, in a preseason game between HC Bílí Tygři Liberec and HC Ambrì-Piotta, Liberec goaltender Daniel Kral got hit in the eye by a slap shot from the blueline, causing a serious injury; take a look:
There's no timetable for his return as this is an injury to his eye socket. This once again calls into question the need for cats eye goalie masks, although this injury was improbable, one could argue that it wouldn't of happened had he been wearing a different kind of mask
