Brad Marchand penalized after snapping on referee after missed call against the Philadelphia Flyers
The Boston Bruins and the Philadelphia Flyers are facing off in a matinee game and it didn't take long for tempers to flair as was expect between the two teams, especially down the stretch when games get more physical.
Brad Marchand wasn't happy with a knee-on-knee collision that went uncalled with Flyers defender Erik Johnson and he wasn't shy about letting the officials know his displeasure, but, it didn't end well for him; take a look.
Brad Marchand receives an unsportsmanlike penalty for voicing his displeasure with Erik Johnson's hit
I don't blame him for losing his mind on this one, not only was it a terrible missed call on the officials part, but they need to learn to be able to take criticism, that's part of the job.
This play happened in the first period, with two still to go in the game, one would think this won't be the only thing that happens between the two rivals this game. Referees need to do a better job at either making the correct calls on the, or be prepared for the backlash from players for it. In this instance, I don't think Marchand should've been given a penalty.
