Hockey World Pays Tribute To Junior Hockey Player After Tragic Accident

Carter Barnes was a very promising young hockey player in Idaho, and now the community has paid tribute after a tragic accident took his life.
There have been many tragedies in the hockey world as of late, and unfortunately, we now bring you news of another, this time out of Idaho involving a talented youth hockey player.
Carter Barnes, an Idaho native has been playing hockey since five years old, and now, an entire community is in mourning after a tragic car accident took his life over the weekend.
In a tribute, the Idaho Falls Youth Hockey Association used these beautiful words to describe the type of person that Barnes was during his time with the organization:
"more than a teammate--he was a remarkable young man who brought kindness, grit, and positivity to every rink he stepped on. His loss is deeply felt, and our thoughts are with his family, friends, coaches, and teammates."
The 17-year old was full of life and love, not only for hockey but his fellow players in Idaho, and his loss is one that will certainly be felt all around the hockey community, not just in Idaho.
Barnes was so popular with hockey players in the area that an online movement, similar to the one in honour of Johnny Gaudreau has begun, with players using #sticksoutforCarter to pay tribute to the incredible young man.
We take this time to send our condolences to the friends, family, former teammates and anyone that was effected by Barnes and his time both on and off the ice in Idaho.
