Alex Pietrangelo could face a 10 game suspension depending on Department of Player Safety's rule interpretation
Even though the Vegas Golden Knights are up 3-1 on the Florida Panthers, if Florida has proven anything this postseason, it's that nothing is impossible, especially with how the game ended yesterday; they could lose one of their top defenders for an extended period of time.
Alex Pietrangelo left the penalty box and immediately got into the fray at the end of the game yesterday. Depending on the ruling from the National Hockey League's Department of Player Safety could face a 10-game suspension; take a look. The rule is as follows if a player exits the box and the play is stopped, and they start an altercation, they are not only subject to the penalties they would receive on the play but a 10-game suspension. However if the opponent is the aggressor in the situation, the 10 game suspension is waived.
So, depending on how the DoPS views the situation at the end of the game involving Pietrangelo, he could face a lengthy ban.
Now, given the fact that nothing has happened to this point in the day that's a pretty good indication nothing is coming, but it seems Pietrangelo narrowly avoided what could've been a costly suspension
