Matthew Tkachuk ejected after receiving one of the softest misconduct penalties ever

After two games in the Stanley Cup Finals, the Vegas Golden Knights have absolutely overpowered the Florida Panthers. The Panthers have been outmatched and outscored 12-4 in the first two games of the series. With their skilled players unable to perform, the Panthers turned up the physicality to try and take away the Knights' will to fight.

Unfortunately, unlike their previous opponents, the Knights refuse to go away quietly. Late in the 2nd period the officials issued Matthew Tkachuk a 10-minute misconduct penalty after a scrum. The scrum ensued after a hard hit on Jack Eichel, but that wasn't the only misconduct penalty Tkachuk would receive last night.

While it's clear the referee is just trying to manage the game, ejecting Tkachuk for something so minor is just another example of the refs trying to be the main character. With over 6 minutes left, Tkachuk has the ability to impact an entire series by delivering a big hit that could have a lasting impact.
