Tom Wilson has been a name circulating in trade rumours this off-season. Presumably the Washington Capitals are looking to get rid of the grinding winger.

Now, according to a former National Hockey League defender Jason York, Wilson could be on his way to a surprising eastern conference team; take a look.

Former #Sens D Jason York, speaking on a show he does Monday, with a local podcaster, said he's hearing the Washington Capitals would like to make a deal to send rugged winger Tom Wilson to Ottawa. If that's the case, he'd be a solid addition.

Wilson, 29, had an injury riddled season last year that saw him play only 33 games. In those game he scored 13 goals and 9 assists for a total of 22 points.

If the Capitals want to get rid of Wilson and the Ottawa Senators want to take a run at him, they should be, but I don't see Ottawa and Washington being trade partners for Tom Wilson.

Would the Ottawa Senators going after a player like Tom Wilson make them legitimate contenders to make the playoffs at the very least? I just don't see it, but it would bring them closer.
