It is always a special moment, when a player returns to play their first home game against a former team. Arizona Coyotes forward Alex Kerfoot lived this experience earlier this week when his Coyotes were visiting his former team the Toronto Maple Leafs. Kerfoot was treated to a tribute video to honor his time in Toronto.
Tonight, forward Jesse Puljujarvi and his Pittsburgh Penguins are visiting the Edmonton Oilers. This would mark the first time Puljujarvi got the chance to play against his old squad. Puljujarvi's situation differs from Kerfoot's because he won't be playing. Puljujarvi will be a healthy scratch tonight.
The former fourth overall pick of Edmonton from 2016 had a major surgery on both of his hips this summer which delayed his start to the season. It has been a long road for the 25 year old, Puljujarvi who is finally back healthy. In 8 games this season he is pointless while only averaging 10:37 in ice time.
