Toronto Maple Leafs head coach Craig Berube watched his team completely destroy the Pittsburgh Penguins on Tuesday, and it led to a special moment in the locker room.
Craig Berube's job was on the line just a couple of days ago, and there was a fear that he wouldn't be able to get through the fog.
However, the Leafs opted to fire Marc Savard instead, all while keeping Berube employed, until further notice. In the first game after this move, the Leafs defeated the Pittsburgh Penguins by a score of 6-3.
It was a huge win for the Maple Leafs, and one that could very well carry them into the New Year as they look to brush off the bad omens of the first three months of the season.
Not to mention, it led to a special moment in the locker room after the game, as Berube addressed the team prior to their three-day break.

As you can see in the video down below, Berube told the team Merry Christmas. He then said that he hopes the team can keep the momentum going.
It is the kind of message that could really resonate with the players, especially with the Holiday season upon us.
Whether or not the message gets through is something that still remains to be seen. At the end of the day, you never know how players will respond to a message.
Thankfully, the Holidays offer some reprieve for the Leafs, who very clearly need a break after falling to last place in the Eastern Conference.
The Toronto Maple Leafs are one of the most followed teams in hockey, and when they're bad, it is a bad look for the NHL.
On Saturday, they will return to action against the Ottawa Senators, which will be a huge rivalry game, and another opportunity to save the season.
